Swedish pancakes are much thinner than traditional American pancakes and here in Sweden we eat them with whipped cream and jam instead of maple syrup and fresh berries. The recipe is really super simple.
So, why not try some Swedish pancakes for Pancake day (or Shrove Tuesday) this year! Here’s my recipe.
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups of milk
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- butter for frying
Whip all ingredients into an even batter. Fry thin pancakes in a frying pan with butter – a minute on each side. Serve with jam, vanilla ice-cream or whipped cream.
